Update from the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority

Power update on OMPA Member Cities

All power has been restored to the Town of Okeene. Transmission service remains out in the Town of Goltry.   The total number of customers affected is 169.

Lines feeding the Town Goltry are down in both directions along Highway 45. Crews are in Goltry working on replacing the damaged equipment. Due to the extent of the damage, the Town of Goltry will remain without power until tomorrow afternoon.

Repair crews worked diligently on repairing the damage in the Town of Okeene. OMPA would like to extend our appreciation to the crews from OG&E for their work on the damaged transmission lines. We would also like to thank Edmond Electric for assisting the Town of Okeene electric crews with the restoration of their distribution lines in town. These crews worked long hours, through adverse conditions, in order to make sure power was restored to Okeene tonight.

Transmission service to City of Fairview was restored on Tuesday, February 26.  Crews are still working on repairing the remaining damaged circuits. Fairview has approximately 60 customers currently without power. Both the City of Fairview and Purcell Municipal Electric crews are working together to ensure that power is restored. We will provide another update on outages at 0900 tomorrow.

OMPA would like to extend a big ‘thank you’ to all the crews that have assisted in the restoration efforts in our member cities. We would also like to thank our member cities’ customers for their patience and understanding during this situation.

All OMPA outage information is posted to our website and can be found at www.ompa.com/outages.
