Driest May 1 to Jan. 7 on records dating to 1895

A look at the May 1, 2012-January 7, 2013 totals for precipitation in Oklahoman, according to the Oklahoma Mesonet.

This has been the driest of all May 1 to January 7 periods dating back to 1895, of course, with a statewide average of 13.48 inches, nearly 14 inches below normal.
