Cotton Bowl travel: Friday forecast, National Weather Service, Dallas-Fort Worth
(As of 3:11 p.m. Thursday, National Weather Service, Dallas-Fort Worth) Light rain will
develop tonight as a storm system approaches from the west.
The rain will begin transitioning to snow Friday morning.
Within the winter weather advisory, 1 to 2 inches of accumulating snow
is expected with isolated higher amounts possible.
Light snow or flurries with minimal accumulation are expected elsewhere.
For much of Central and East Texas, this will be a rain/snow mix.
As temperatures warm Friday afternoon, the snow may transition back to rain before ending.
