FYI: Blowing dust reports in the Texas Panhandle from the National Weather Service, Amarillo, Texas

2:01 p.m.–TXDOT Amarillo is strongly discouraging travel along I27 south due to low visibility in blowing dust. Worth repeating that these conditions have lead to numerous accidents across the South Plains. Similar conditions almost certainly exist along the I27 corridor of Randall County.

2:29 p.m. –Recent report from far southern Randall Co suggest vis ~1 mile in blowing dust along I27 near Happy.
