Christmas Day forecast from the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office
An upper level low will bring a light precipitation event on Christmas Day. Although surface temperatures will mainly be above freezing…snow will reach the ground during much of the event out west…and during at least part of the event farther east. Bursts of moderate snow may occur…including decent-sized flakes. With very light winds…and relatively little impact on travel…this could be one of the nicer times to see snow fall. The most likely area for any accumulation will be in western Oklahoma.
