It’s been a noteworthy year. More than a 100 days of triple digits in areas of southwestern Oklahoma, the hottest climatological summer on record for Oklahoma and second hottest summer in the U.S. Oklahoma.
And, this summer (June-August) was the 3rd driest on record dating back to 1895 for Oklahoma. Average over that period statewide was 4.13 inches, 5.64 inches below normal.
