Weather Synopsis…Scattered showers and thunderstorms

will occur across the region this evening and tonight.

Severe weather is possible with large hail and

 strong winds mainly south of interstate 40.

 The showers and thunderstorms were

 developing in response to an upper level

 disturbance moving across the southern Plains.

 Showers and storms may linger into Wednesday

before a dry period begins.
