THUNDERSTORM OUTLOOK…
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
SEVERE WEATHER CHANCES REMAIN LOW.

DISCUSSION…
ISOLATED SHORT-LIVED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF
OKLAHOMA AND NORTH TEXAS THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO EARLY EVENING.
HOWEVER WINDS THROUGHOUT THE ATMOSPHERE WILL REMAIN LIGHT AS A 
RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL PERSIST OVER THE AREA THROUGH…
THEREFORE ANY THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP WILL BE ISOLATED AND SHORT
IN DURATION. A FEW OF THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY
WINDS… BUT NO ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED.

PROBABILITY OF THUNDERSTORMS OCCURRING IN THE
              NWS NORMAN COUNTY WARNING AREA…40 PERCENT.
PROBABILITY OF SEVERE STORMS IF STORMS OCCUR…10 PERCENT.

THUNDERSTORM OUTLOOK…
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL INCREASE ACROSS PORTIONS OF OKLAHOMA AND
WESTERN NORTH TEXAS ON SUNDAY AS A COLD FRONT ARRIVES. A SLIGHT RISK
OF SEVERE WEATHER IS FORECAST IN NORTHERN AND WEST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
LATE SUNDAY. IN ADDITION TO HAIL AND STRONG WINDS…THERE WILL BE A
THREAT OF VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. THE COLD FRONT AND ASSOCIATED OUTFLOW
BOUNDARIES MAY BRING HIGHER RAIN CHANCES INTO CENTRAL AND WESTERN
OKLAHOMA LATE SUNDAY NIGHT AND ON MONDAY. FOR THE REMAINDER OF NEXT
WEEK…A LEE TROUGH AND LACK OF UPPER LEVEL RIDGING MAY ALLOW FOR
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM FORMATION EACH DAY. THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT
EXPECTED TO BECOME ORGANIZED…HOWEVER…UNTIL ANOTHER COLD FRONT
APPROACHES NORTHERN OKLAHOMA ON THURSDAY.
