REGIONAL WEATHER DISCUSSION…
STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE OVER WESTERN OKLAHOMA…AS WELL
AS MUCH OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS. SUSTAINED WINDS
OF 15 TO 25 MPH…WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH…WILL BE COMMON. THE
STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE OVER SOUTHWEST AND WEST-CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
AROUND HOLLIS…HOBART…AND CLINTON.
DURING THE EVENING HOURS…THE WIND WILL BEGIN TO DECREASE AT ALL
LOCATIONS. BY 10 PM…MOST AREAS SHOULD EXPERIENCE A LIGHT AND
VARIABLE WIND. WITH THE LIGHT WIND AND DRY AIR…TEMPERATURES
WILL COOL QUICKLY THIS EVENING. TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S AND 50S ARE
EXPECTED TO BE WIDESPREAD BEFORE MIDNIGHT.
