This city is an EMBARRASSMENT. The local news obsesses with the weather. The city cannot deal with 5" of snow and and the airport shuts down. During the last storm, I returned from the Cayman Islands the night of the 26th, two days after the snow. I could hardly get out of the airport parking facility due to the huge amount of snow/ice IN THE LANES OF THE PARKING LOT! Good grief! OKC strives to be such a metropoliton but really, is more like a third world village in so many respects. Im originally from Denver. I know how well planned cities function with a bit of snow.
They do NOT shut down.
