PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA THROUGH MID
AFTERNOON. MEANWHILE… SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL ALSO OCCUR OVER PARTS
OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. THROUGH 1 PM… MOST OF THE THUNDERSTORMS IN
SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA WILL BE MAINLY NEAR OR EAST OF INTERSTATE 35.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL BE GENERALLY ON THE LIGHT SIDE… AVERAGING
LESS THAN ONE-QUARTER INCH… WITH THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE SMALL THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA. THE PRECIPITATION
WAS ASSOCIATED WITH AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE ROTATING AROUND AN
UPPER LOW CENTERED OVER NORTHWEST KANSAS. AS THIS DISTURBANCE
CONTINUES TO PROGRESS ACROSS THE AREA… THE RAIN WILL END FROM THE
WEST WHILE CLEARING SKIES OVER THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF OKLAHOMA AND
NORTH TEXAS WILL GRADUALLY SPREAD EAST.
MEANWHILE… COOLER CONDITIONS WILL PREVAIL TODAY WITH AFTERNOON
HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM THE MID 60S TO THE LOWER 70S.
