Take precautions regarding the heat all day
Many talk about how the hottest part of the day is often just before and after 4 p.m. But yesterday, there were seven Oklahoma Mesonet stations recording high actual temperatures of 108 degrees or above. That 108 came at 2:15 p.m. at Goodwell. So think how hot it was even by noon there. In fact, the highest temperature, 115 degrees at Buffalo, was record at 2:50 p.m. So start right now thinking how you will manage the heat today. This is very serious. Please take care of yourself and check on others. This heat wave will continue, according to the National Weather Service’s Norman Forecast Office.
