It wouldn’t surprise me to see the highest Mesonet temps of the year today
On June 27, the Oklahoma Mesonet Stations at Fairview and Grandfield reached 106 degrees. Yesterday we had a couple of 105 degree readings in southwestern Oklahoma. I really think we may see that 106 matched or surpassed today, so please take precautions for the heat.
Another factor to consider is the heat index. Yesterday Burneyville had a heat index of 109 degrees at 2:05 p.m.
