324 Area Code Warning
There is no 324 area code in the United States, but many people nationally have reported receiving scam calls that showed up on their caller ID systems as originating from the 324 area code. One Internet source, wikianswers.com, reports the calls appear to be originating from Ghana, West Africa. A Northern Oklahoma businessman said he recently encountered an apparent credit card scam that used the 324 area code. A man who identified himself as Preacher Tim from Idaho tried to get the businessmanto send 600 blankets to an orphaage in Idaho, he said. The scams reportedly take many forms, but a call that appears to originate from a 324 area code should be cause for suspicion, unless a person is expecting a call from Ghana.

I got an email from someone because I put on Craigslist that I was looking for a fourwheeler. She put in her number saying she had a Polaris 400cc for sale. I called and she said she still had it and everything, so apparently, it originates in North/South Carolina too. Cause I posted the ad in Charlotte, NC

I recently signed up for a loan using PayDay Advance because I thought they did loans..come to find out they don’t! They send random “trusted” lenders your information and they call you all day and email you non-stop! The same day I signed up this number (3243356906) called and it sounded like a chat room! It was five or more different conversations going on, and not in american language..Now I am afraid that random people have my SSN and everything else. Guard yourselves!!
I have received correspondence fram a Rev. Bill York wanting to buy 300 candles for a mission in Ghana. When I requested more information to verify the validity of the order I got a call from the 324 area code. He suggested a shipping company to ship the candles that is out of Dubai UAE but thier Financial Manager is in Ghana. Thanks for the heads up on the scams coming out of Ghana. This smelled funny right from the start.
