Your blog really illuminated how information on the Internet can sound so plausible with “absolutely no documentation or supporting evidence for claim(s) whatsoever, other than mere repetition of claim(s) themselves.” As you can tell, I took your quote and changed it up a bit to justify my findings: I think that is sometimes how the Internet works. My changing your quote is simply a demonstration in order to validate my perspective.

I love this article! It is very interesting. I had no idea that the 12 days of Christmas had a real meaning behind it or a story rather. The 12 days of Christmas has been remixed so many times that I never even thought about it have a ture meaning. This is very informing to see the song in a whole different way. I'm going to start telling people.

Response for Comm220 Credit

By: Bryan Carson

I really found this article fascinating. i find the divide in the church to be an interesting subject. the fact that the catholic (little c) church split over very few things, but now it isn't just split down the middle, we have many many different denominations and they all believe just slightly different. this song was always one of my least favorite Christmas songs, but now that i have seen what these things in the song actually stand for, it is incredible. i bet i will think of this article every time i sing this song now, because i was cursed with a trivia brain--i pick up useless trivia and that is the stuff i remember. i will never sing about a partridge in a pear tree anymore without realizing the awe-inspiring significance of it. it isn't just a stupid bird in a tree anymore, it is our savior who died for our sins! puts this song in a totally different light.

I found this article very interesting. Finding out that this famous Christmas song has a double meaning, surprised me. I would have never guessed that the Five rings were the Pentateuch and that the partridge in the pear tree is Jesus. It is crazy to see how much people try to take out Jesus from Christmas when he's there in a song and we don't even know it. Learning this shows me to research and really take in the meaning behind what I sing, spiritually, socially, and traditionally.
