I debate, and I've a history as a member of national championship high school and college debate teams. So I must be prepared to deeply familiarize with all sides of a matter, either to support or break down arguments.

I also play tournament tennis at a high level. I know what it takes to improve, to overcome obsticles, to play in the zone, which means performing at the highest level your capable of at the time, when neither thinking nor mind talking is present, both are dead silent.

All the time, Tim, I give specifics seen from overviews of player performances, individual games, and developing trends established over many games.

Sure, I follow statistics, but I ask, why do they show up as they do?

I uphold "will" as the highest quality. "Will" and "want to" aren't the same.

A great team playing a bad game somehow wins the game, when the great team seems to maganetically attract plays when they're needed in the final moments of a close game.

@the idea of RJ or Fish taking over for Russ tonight,I think the fact that we put those two on the court together is an indication that we don't have a backup point guard(which I've been saying all year, except for Maynor). What we have is one dynamic scorer and one savvy vet who can hit some 3's and provide some leadership. Both of them together couldn't replace Russ' passing or defense. The good news is Tony Parker will either be absent or hobbled.

Lol @ this recurring argument that you don't understand a game unless you are there and these folks that keep demonizing other folks for having opinions. If you disagree, then disagree.Debate even.

To be sure,it WAS a hideous game.Anyone who watched could see that. There were a lot of bad decisions offensively. Our defense was solid, but if you're going to be honest, the Celtics offense isn't exactly explosive. They have to play the way they do.We don't.We can put up 120 on anyone. We got drug into a slow, dirty, ugly game.We won,but we didn't play our game.

Also, one shouldn't assume another persons opinions are based solely on statistics.A lot of us watch games and look at stats.Whether you're watching on tv,or at the game or even courtside what it basically comes down to is if you understand what you are watching or not.

[...] Darnell Mayberry: “If you’re a Thunder fan, you’re probably of the opinion that Westbrook is just plagued by that ankle sprain. If you root for the Celtics, you probably are loving what Avery Bradley did defensively against Westbrook. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Bradley did a terrific job against Westbrook, but you can’t ignore how Westbrook harnessed much of his typical unbridled energy. I mean, one rebound? That’s happened only four other times this season. We didn’t see the real Westbrook. Yes, Bradley played a role. But Westbrook is nowhere near 100 percent. Today, he gave what he had and it was good enough.” [...]

Is it by your going to the games make you an "expert" on what you say is definite or the best?

Geez, get a life and let others say what they want, instead of being a brown noser to your special players ( as mentioned above about Perkins) or writers!

@Glenda,"Statistics can compliment in-game observations, but statistics alone can’t tell the whole story."

So what about your statement about telling the whole story, we await your expertise on the subject or is that all what you can say? Good to criticize, but give more facts and we decide on your statements.

Will it be like your "LaBron" wording, that's totally not factual, as you having changed it quickly!

The Thunder have been burned before and once should be a learning lesson for them.
