Big D, no revisionist history on my part. The ‘upstart’ thing wasn’t me commenting on the Thunder. It was the general feeling about the Thunder compared to the Spurs after the first two games of the series.

And it flipped really fast.

Hey, didn’t Byron Mullens really light em up tonight? Or maybe that should read, Byron Mullens really got lit up tonight.

Currently up 21 on the worst team in the league with about 6min left in the third…I think its safe to let the bench take over,if not,we could always bring the starters back.

@ Dragon, Heat lost to the Pacers 2x, Celtics, Jazz, Bulls, Trailblazers, Pistons, Bucks, Warriors, Wizards, Knicks 2x, Clippers and Grizzlies for a total of 14 loses. What does all these teams know differently from your beloved coach Brooks, that other coaches seem to master, specially coach Vogel of the Pacers and coach Woodson of the Knicks had won twice on the Heat, without the benefit of two all stars by the name of Westbrook and Durant.
Is it still the players fault or the coach, cause it has to be one or the other specially 6 straight loses?

@Dragon, are you sarcastic that you connect Byron Mullens to winning against the Heat. This is nuts to be saying something as irrational as that.

First of all, the Thunder coach had 6 straight loses which seems he has not adjusted. Playing them differently as you say stems from last years 4 games and two this season, where are the adjustments you are mentioning?

Second, Byron Mullens did not play that much for the Thunder and cannot be evaluated thoroughly, but for the Bobcats, he is a starter, at power forward. If what you are saying he is not good, why is he still around the NBA.

Third, you have no idea how the Thunder will get to the championship, even to the finals, by what you just posted.

Finally, if readers will believe your suggestions, nothing will be of any value.

Personally,I don’t believe that a one point game is the time to give the young new bench players some PT. …Believe or not we aren’t the only team that struggles against the Heat. …And one more believe it or not.There’s still alot of ball to be played,but if we are fortunate enough to face the Heat in the finals,I guarantee you that Coach Brooks will play them differently than last year. Why would he play them the same way?I guess if he just wasn’t so stubborn and would just listen to the internet experts(and kept Byron Mullens) we’d already have a Championship.

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, who is half-Filipino (his mother is from San Pablo, Laguna), has traveled to his homeland in each of the past four offseasons. Last summer, he brought the Larry O’Brien trophy with him, celebrating Miami’s championship with the fans, many of whom now are fans of the Heat.

“It staggers our players how popular the NBA is here, 10,000 miles away,” Spoelstra said during his 2012 visit.

The Kevin Durant-Carmelo Anthony duel was postponed, though J.R. Smith filled in nicely – for three quarters.”We’ve been hurt on those game-winners a couple of times this year and we didn’t want that to happen again,” Durant said. ”So we just had to lock in and get a stop.”

Russell Westbrook struggled over the final three quarters but finished with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists, plus provided tough defense on Smith’s last shot in the Thunder’s first trip to New York since Dec. 22, 2010.

”It was a great fight. I mean we put up a heck of a fight out there tonight,” Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire said. ”We played great defensively, offensively we were playing well, the ball was moving, so we can be happy with the way we played but still a little upset that we lost down the stretch.”

In the meantime, the Knicks showed again they’ve got enough guys to compete without him – but not enough to beat a top team like the Thunder.

Oklahoma City G Ronnie Brewer didn’t play. Brewer was a starter for the Knicks to begin the season, but eventually lost his place in the rotation entirely after a lengthy slump and was dealt to the Thunder for a second-round pick at the trade deadline.
