Getting Derek Fisher back is a two bladed sword that could work for the Thunder as a point guard now and might be a coaching job later on, cause soon, he’ll retire and what a great coach he might turn out to be, with 5 championship experience under his belt and a wealth of ideas to show for strategies under excellent coach Phil Jackson!

Maybe Sam Presti got a glimpse of the future for Derek Fisher directing the Thunder and Sam is still an innovating basketball manager.

I was somewhat suprised by the Thunder reaquiring Fisher. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Presti consulted with both coach Brooks and the Thunder player leadership – of Durant, Perkins, and perhaps Westbrook – on the reaquisition.

I’ve a feeling that the Fisher acquisition has been in the works for some time, involving Fisher and Thunder decision makers.

Would not upset me to see Fisher finish out the season with the team. He is a strong and smart player and to make the finals we need help with the PG

It does look like OKC is about to re-sign Fisher, or maybe already has. I didn’t think they would, but he’s one of those veteran guys that they like to have around. And he’s got experience with the team of course. But I kind of don’t think he’ll be taking over back-up point from Jackson. More like spot-duty is what I would think, to spread the floor some on offense when they go small.

But again, I didn’t think they’d re-sign him to begin with. So we’ll have to see.
