I don't know yet whether Perry Jones truly believes he belongs in the NBA. I suspect, however, that Orton believes, that Lamb believes, that Liggins believes.

I sense that Thabeet believes. If he can handle failure and learn how to overcome his failures, he can become a substantial and consistent inside force on both ends of the court.

No, it won't, if you're not increasing that effort in the right area. If you're banging your head against a wall and resolve to simply increase your banging efforts, it will help you knock yourself out sooner. But that's about it. OKC knows how to get around the wall though, that's the thing. They just have to get back to doing so.

On Derek Fisher, I guess they might bring him in if he's okay with being the #3 point guard, behind Jackson. And at this point, maybe he would be. Although last year they didn't really use him as a point guard very much. More of a spot-up shooter. It worked okay most of the time, but it wasn't the role everyone thought he'd have with OKC.

I kinda doubt they'll sign him again this time. I have no idea what they might do, but it does sound as if they'll sign someone. I think they've got until March 1st, so I guess we'll see what happens.

Red, please slow down and carefully read words, and refrain from leaping to conclusions off what another hasn't even suggested.

You said: Can you see us in the Finals with RJ leading the team?

I'm fairly certain you meant "leading the second unit," if the Thunder put out such a thing as a complete second unit in the playoffs.

And that Jackson will more fully blossom next season says nothing about skipping over this season. The improving Jackson is what is this season. The improved Jackson next season will move closer to his full potential, kind of like Westbrook of four seasons in the NBA, kind of like Durant in his fifth NBA season.

On a Fischer return, my guess, tried that, done that with some success, but his return now won't do much to improve the present, and certainly won't improve the Thunder's future.

On the Thunder's slippage in play, that often arrives from players taking their fine game for granted, a natural tendency, a relaxing of intensity and concentration - when top athletes turn vulnerable to a slap down.

Regaining the intensity, concentration, the top play takes a while through hard work in practices and in games, but they all will return.

Better to swoon now and regain than later on, when the schedule approaches the playoffs.

DM I agree with your assessment of the defense.Too many times during the game I saw that by the time the Wolves made their third pass in a possession,we would be chasing them around until it got to the point that they would make a layup or draw help and then it was an easy pass for a dunk. You've got to stop the guy with the ball not chase him around in circles. I also agree with you about JJ.You look at him and think there's no way this guys any good. Then he scores and you think there's no way he can do that again and then he does.In a pool hall that's called a hustler. I was unexpectedly really impressed with the Wolves second unit. Not only their ability to score but they were so balanced too.

Hasheem got penalized for playing well the same way DeAndre Liggins did several games. They come in,play well, come out and never see the court again. It sucks.

I think the reason Perry Jones 3 looks lost and is basically invisible is because its hard to find your place in a lineup that doesn't actually make basketball sense.Once you get beyond our starting 5 the construction of our lineups is atrocious.I typically blame it on Reggie Jackson being the wrong guard for the second unit but he's looking like more like a distributor every me.You still can't convince me that these guys belong on the court together, its mostly awkward offensively and defensively only average at best.We could actually have our bench as a strength instead of a weakness, but as someone put it before, there's a whole lot of distrust and panic going on.Notice how clach tries to leave a starter,or 2 in at all times except fr the LAST few minutes of a blowout...I think our whole system of subbing and our rotations need to be blown up and reconstructed.

One former Oklahoma Thunder player, Robert Swift needs help and don't know if Clay Bennett will do.

Swift made “a reported $20 million playing hoops.” Robert worked through the duration of his rookie contract and signed for one year with the Oklahoma City Thunder once that franchise left Seattle in 2008. Basketball-Reference has his overall earnings at just under $11.5 million. Hardly a pittance, and certainly something to buy a house with.

Robert Swift’s short NBA career, sadly, produced more bad punchlines than it did productive seasons. The heavily-tattooed big man was drafted directly out of high school in 2004 and was a favorite amongst several well-respected NBA GMs, but his game never found a groove and he last played in the NBA back in 2009.

Maybe Kevin Durant knows the guy if he was any good as a player.

If Brooks is not happy with the defense, why doesn't he do something about it, instead of broadcasting it to the media, as if the media can do something with it.

This all points back to him and he and only he can solve the puzzle he thinks will take of itself.

First, identify the problem and then look at the possibilities on how to plug that hole.
Second, tell the problem to those involve and talk it over.
Third, do some drills and see if it will be part of the Thunder's playbook and how the players accomplish what has been discussed.

Hope that helps Brooks make something of it.

Glenda the word "kid" in your posting is exactly true but we need a "grown up" pg to back up WB. I even wish the rumor of Fisher coming was true. Can you see us in the finals with RJ leading the team?
Then you say he will blossom next season? Are we skipping the rest of this year?
