I haven't been able to get past the first half yet,so I'll keep my comments to that.Wow... what a thorough ass whoopn'administered by the Heat.I had no idea they could play such dominant defense. They double teamed(with at least one,if not both both were 6'8")the ball in a way where it seemed like RW couldn't see the open guy.Your small front line guys become big perimeter guys. They guarded the perimeter so well but if you went inside there was three guys surrounding the ball, but it was hard to see openings on the perimeter(most of the time ended in a TO).Bosh shoots most of his shots 12-18 feet, but when his guys miss a shot he's at the rim for the rebound.OKC got 5 offensive rebounds.Bosh got five by himself. The Heat made 8 three's in the first half.Bron got 3,but the other five were by 5 different guys. We looked confused and indecisive.I've never seen that out of this team before.Offensively the Heat was phenomenal too.Eight 3's in the first halve. Now,LeBron made three of them, but the other five were by five different guys. And then there's the man himself,Mr.James.He's one of the best NBA players in history playing the best ball in his life.Tonight,I believe, was the best of his best. The only indecision he may have had tonight was trying to decide how he wanted to score this time. KD played his guts out.Russ had another good game. It's nice that we've got All-Star weekend to move past this painful loss.We can learn from this.I hope it's something positive that we can use now because we have a lot of very tough teams in our conference to got get past just to have to opportunity to exercise these demons known as the Miami Heat.

Like you said Mr. Mayberry we didn't pressure Queen James at all tonight. I didn't understand why OKC choose her left side instead of the right, her shooting hand. Of course the best defender knows to never pick the center.

The fun of the unexpected is gone, expectations are now to high, Championship or bust !!!!

The pressure of being the best effects everyone, it's become a permanent defensive position because other fans wanna tear down our beloved Thunder & we have to defend that.... The team can't just win or lose anymore, they have to WIN !!!!

Where are the smiles ???? In HOUSTON....

Business took front & center before the season began & now the pressure on the front office is to show it was a great move even though we lost our heart, our smile, our beard....

James made it fun, who makes it fun now ????

I don't know, you tell me bruh....

the first, 2nd or 4th best team in the league that in an ordinary year, like 1979, the last time the Thunder-Sonics won a title, this team does indeed grab a ring. It was riveting to see a performance like that. I like the way Kendrick puts it: "we have a problem." I say, if that's Lebron instead of Byron Russell on MJ game 6 98, his Airness = Eatness leather game over. Its great to see how far the Thunder have to go. Its great to wonder how great LBJ will make his team-mates. Its as if the Heat draw up the Thunder's game plan - bigs out to the corners on D, thou will not suffer fools in the paint, and let em live by the 22 foot contested jumper. I think the Lakers had to play the Celtics 5 times before they got theirs…

Something I've been thinking about a bit the past few weeks, and it strikes me again today amidst all the usual "fire Brooks fire Presti trade Westbrook trade Perkins trade Rumble the team sucks the world is ending" freak-out stuff. Yes, there's some pretty good game analysis in there too, but you have to wade through the freak-out crowd to find any of it.

But what strikes me is this. Even with last night's disappointment, the Thunder is still one of the best team's in the league, and will have a solid shot at winning the Western Conference and getting back to the finals. Where if they make it, they'll probably get another shot at Miami.

I get the upset from last night's game. It sucked, flat-out. Still, you step back and look at the big picture, which is what I tend to do, and the world for Thunder fans is pretty good.

But you wouldn't know it based on a lot of what you see here. The Thunder is better than they were last year, and far, far better than when they first got here. But truth be told, it's not as much fun as it was in those first few years.

Maybe the funnest season we've had as fans was the 50-win season when they unexpectedly made the playoffs. Last year may have matched that, especially with the way they dismantled San Antonio after falling down 0-2 in the conference finals.

This year? Second-best record in the league, top-scoring offense, Durant's in the hunt for another scoring title, he and Russ are All Stars again.....things are pretty not too freaking bad. But the natives are not happy. Not nearly as happy as when the team was fighting for a chance at making the playoffs.

I guess we've grown up as fan base. What a shame.

As for last night's game, short version for me is that I think they just flat want to beat Miami so much, they tighten up and don't play with the confidence that they normally show, in themselves and in each other. That's something they'll have to deal with, and figure out how to get past. This team hasn't had to deal with adversity very much yet. Every team has to at some point, just like every person has to deal with it in their own lives at some point.

We'll see how they handle it. It could be the deciding factor in how far they go this year. Whatever the result, I hope we enjoy the trip a little more than we have so far. We've had more success than ever, and we're less happy about it than ever.

Go figure.

So how does an athlete dissovle fear?

Practice, practice, practice on one aspect of your game and practice over and again on other aspects until they all become natural - you fully trust all your abilities - so automatic that you don't give a damn about the opponent facing you.

The same applies to a combination of players on a team.
