Lester - That's ridiculous. He jacks up shots at the first available opportunity, isn't a great rebounder, isn't great at setting screens, and either didn't have the driver or the instincts to play defense.

Basically, everything the Thunder ask out of their big men...he doesn't do. He has had some good games this year, but he's also been terrible at times. It also lowered their payroll enough to pay KD's new salary and resign Westbrook.

In short: You're short on facts, high on insanity.

Mike, the players can learn defense from their coaches, if their concern is defense, but hard to be a scorerif that player hasn't any idea how to score by instinct. They could shoot anytime, jumper and three ball, but if you can't post-up, lay-up or drive the ball to the hoop, then that player cannot be effectively be counted on! Well, that's my take on Mullens anyway.

Some players don't even want to guard their man because that's not a great part of being a player, like some of the Thunder's players. The trade of Mullens really did not give him justice because he was not even utilized on the floor!

Lester, nobody ever wondered about Mullens' offensive promise, but the guy can't play D, and if you don't play D you don't play in OKC. The only reason Liggins gets any playing time for one of the best teams in the league is because he plays great D. OKC doesn't need more scorers, they have a 6'1" guy that has shown he can score the ball a little bit.

The Heat has the Lakers number and they played the Thunder the same way last finals, drive and kick out for the three point shooters to make. Hope the Thunder has solved that same old problem, as I have had it with the Thunder losing four straight!!!

John Rohde, what in your opinion can get the Thunder to beat the Heat, cause as of last finals up to now, the Heat has beaten the Thunder 4 straight games?

The Thunder Made a mistake in trading Byron Mullens to the Bobcats as he is now their best player making; 25 points, 10-16 shooting (top scorer in game), 18 rebounds, 4 assists in 42 minutes of play. The guy is 6’11″ tall which could be a starter with the Thunder as power forward or center plus a scorer and rebounder. Those two attributes in scoring and rebounds are the things missing in that position for the Thunder.

Presti and Brooks should try to give their rookies and new players to show what they do before trading them quickly. Brooks must play them instead of lingering on the bench, just as some stubborn coaches do. That is an old style of orienting the new player, specially the rookies!

[...] Anthony Slater of NewsOK on the opposite paths of KD and Beasley: “His once-promising career, now out of its infant stage, is in complete reconstruction. Once viewed as a sure-fire immediate starter, he’s now working through the baby steps of a rebuild job, for his image and game. But he’s only 24. So it’s still far too early to label him as a bust. And at times this season, including a 25-point performance against Durant’s Thunder last Friday, he’s flashed the unique ability that intrigue and frustrate so many at the same time. There’s still plenty of time to figure it out. But fair or not, because of the similar paths they took (from pre-teens to late teens), Beasley will always be linked to Durant (one of the most prolific young scorers in NBA history). Where will each career go from here? Who knows. But it’s an interesting case study.” [...]
