You failed to mention that Westbrook and James Harden, as well as Durant, will all be re-united in the All Star Game also. Will be great to see them together again.

I have a question for you, John. Have you talked to Scott Brooks about the changing of line-ups for the Heat and why he is playing 9-13 players late in the first half of the season? Does he have a new strategy going forward on the second half of the season? Does he want to develop the second unit or wants to rest his starters on the second half?

If the Thunder can develop these second unit in time for the game with the Spurs this March 11, that would be a great game to see. The Spurs are playing 11-12 players right now, without Duncan and Ginobili and are still doing great. They are also limiting the playing time of their starters. Popovich is surely a wise coach to get his team clicking on all 12 to 14 cylinders and a night to handle, specially in San Antonio.

Here’s hoping the Thunder beat the Spurs to get back to home court advantage in the conference playoff, by getting the hometown crowd all rev-up and ready to support their local team.

Another thing to watch is seeing if the Thunder can get the monkey off their backs by watching videos on how Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks beat the Heat twice and Wizards, Clippers, Detroit, Boston, Utah, Portland, Milwaukee Golden State, Chicago and Memphis beat the Heat once!

So far the Thunder has not been successful with the Heat yet and really needs to focus on how to defend and be offensive minded to take are of the trio.

Maybe the Thunder has now have the right combinations with the second unit doing just fine and getting better acclimated to get things going.

In my observation between Westbrook and Harden;

Harden likes to drive the ball with a slow and quick motion to the basket or hesitation drive, while Westbrooks style is just drive hard and see what happens. That is, get to score, get blocked, be charge offensively or just land to the floor without a call or simply called a Kamikaze style of playing ball.

Harden distributes the ball and does not hold the ball too long, while Westbrook is the opposite.

Harden is a shrewd player with a combination of lay-ups, jumpers and three pointers, while Westbrook is more of an instinctive player that suits a shooting guard than a point guard.

Both players can rebound and quick with stealing the ball, but Harden is a passer and will give up the ball for an assist.

Westbrook this couple of games has been more mature with the ball, giving out assists, passing it and wants to win the game rather than be the highest scorer, but lose the game.

We shall see how the next half of the season turns out, but it all depends on the coach, players and Presti!

As it shows with some people watching the Thunder play out thire season, some skeptics tend to believe that James Harden departure will affect the Thunder's performance, if and when they reach the conference playoffs and eventually, maybe the finals. For them, including sports personalities like Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal have serious doubts the Thunder can come back to the finals, without their third scorer or 6th man.

They are hesitant to say that Westbrook can bring this team to the level last year. According to them Westbook needs to involve all the team members and making people around him better. He has not done that todate. Now comes the point where he (needs to be) like, ‘Oh, I've got to make the guys around me better.'

Another part that needs to change is Brooks pattern of substitutions. If he cannot change on the fly, it will not be a good match-upfor the Thunder. Like, “I look at Scott Brooks,” said Steve Smith. “You can't keep playing Perkins if you're playing the Heat, who plays small ball, and he can't take advantage.”
Barkley agreed.

Go for mismatches, strengths nd weakness of the opponent cmparin the Thunder's own. Lay it all on the line with his players on how to get the best of the game or fall short doing it.

As per the TNT analysts are concerned for the Thunder's situation nowadays, here's what was said;

The Thunder, Kenny Smith said, might struggle not having a secondary playmaker to complement Kevin Durant.

“Will Westbrook be that guy? Because (Harden) was the playmaker,” Smith said. “That's going to be difficult, because the value of James Harden doesn't show in the regular season. It's only going to show in the playoffs. And he's a big-time scorer, a big-time player, as we see.”
Steve and Kenny agreed that the Thunder should look for help before the trading deadline passes in two weeks.

“For Oklahoma City,” said Kenny Smith, “anything less than getting back to the Finals is not going to be a successful season.”
Barkley, of course, got the last word. “Nah,” he said, “they got to win it.”

With that in my mind, how'll Prest do it and who are the available prospects to fill the gap for point guard and center positions?
