That’s the problem with Brooks, Presti gives him the top 30 in the NBA draft picks and he for his own reasons does not try to develop these guys and after one to two years end up as pawns for trade or package goods. Don’t want to try to understand him cause its Presti’s problem.

The other teams play their newly acquired draft picks the moment the season start, not the Thunder and its coach. Maybe his system duplicates his own life as a player who was just a back-up player and was shifted from place to place.

At the end, Brooks is going to answer directly to management how this team has not won the championship and not Presti.

I knew what his potential was having watched him for three years. Maynor knew it too.

I doubt if Brooks would have played him even if picked, however. Probably would have been on the bench for two years and traded just like Aldridge.
