You said it the way it is, Johnny! Can’t understand why blow Westbrook’s top when the team was leading by 25 points? It does not make any sense! Is he showing off to Durant and the audience on national TV that he is in-charge of this team? If he is, then there will be no room for both Durant and him to co-exist together!

Let’s get another point guard who can really point to the direction of winning the championship for OKC

John: Barkley has it all wrong. Brooks and Cheeks have no chance to handle this, they can’t prescribe medication. Everyone needs to quit tip toeing, the young man has problems past ego, showboating, and or maturity. If he can twist off at home on TNT I wonder what happens behind the teams closed doors. Either get him some serious help or trade him and please everyone this is something and getting worse. You know that locker room is tired of this. His tallent still has great value but that will not last get what you can while you can and bring some peace to the rest of the team.

Here’s what I saw.Westbrook goes into the post to exploit a mismatch he had been abusing.Just as he’s ready to make his move,Thabo comes to his side,bringing a defender.The play stalls,whistle blows,Thabo gets mad at Russ and tries to check him.Russ,feeling that Thabo was the one in the wrong,just couldn’t have that.He went off.He couldn’t calm dwn,so he removed himself from the situation until he could.He came back,it was done.

Was it much as bout nothing,yep.Was it “alarming” and worthy of all of this attention.I don’t think so

Thanks for that answer, Todd. If that were the case, Westbrook or any player has to pass that ball to his teammates before 5 seconds, which Thabo cut inside the paint to received the ball, but Westbrook didn’t. Now, were is that Thabo’s fault and be pursued by Westbrook after the fact and get mad? I have seen the video and it did not lie. What’s with this Westbrook getting all worked out of? No snse at all.

Now that is settled, Westbrook will be wary of that situation and he cannot hold the ball any longer, which is good for the Thunder, don’t you think so?

Someone asked about the five second call. The rule as I understand it is that a player with the ball being “closely guarded” cant just hold or just stand and dribble the ball for more than five seconds. or maybe four. You have to do something with it. Shoot, pass, move, something. Very rare to see it called.

After seeing the photos for video in this column, it appears that Westbrooksat beside Mo Cheeks to vent his anger and he disagreed with Mo to leave to go to the tunnel.

Now that it shows that, why did he not approach Scott Brooks first for what’s in his mind and have more clarification and forego any drama. Is he thinking that Scott Brooks will not listen to him and thinks that Brooks will side on Durant more than him? Durant was brought to the situation only because he was trying to calm Westbrook. Most probably if Durant knew that Westbrook will bring that issue to a higher level, Durant would not have bother to broker between Westbrook and Sefolosha, but Durant is a co-captain ball of this team.

Brooks should penalize Westbrook for his actions, but not sure he will go further than sitting him for more thsn 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter!

But I would like to probe deeper into the psyche of Russell Westbrook. Does he really think that what he showed is “controlling it like a man?” I mean, first of all, that’s not controlling it at all. That’s a complete loss of control, when you walk off the court. Second, I think a man would be able to not cuss out their asst. coach when they are trying to calm him down. If Westbrook wants to shed his “good guy” skin, that’s OK. What’s bugging him? Is it the fact that some of the other guys are getting a little pub? Like Thabeet in the DO? Please sort yourself out, Russ, you are too complex and volatile for most of us to figure out.
