I think Brooks is talking turnpike minutes. From what I remember, the turnpike is 90 miles long. At 70 mph, it would take 1:17 to get there. At 75 mph, it would take 1:12 to get there.

You can make it from OKC to Tulsa in an hour and fifteen minutes, but from Tulsa to OKC takes an hour and a half. It’s farther from Tulsa to OKC than from OKC to Tulsa.

Seriously, it’s great for the Thunder to have their D-league team basically just up the road. And it’s great for the players who get some playing time in the same system the Thunder uses, instead of constantly sitting on the bench. And only having to head a little ways up the turnpike to do it.

Wonder what it’s like there these days & nights….

I loved the Cain’s Ballroom, Brady Theatre, downtown Coney Island & riding my bike on River Parks….

Mostly everything else is why I live elsewhere….

Tulsa is in fact a 1:15 drive. It is all turnpike with 75mph speed limit. The 66ers play in South Tulsa right off the turnpike.
