Wow-how exciting it must have been for the players and Coach Ford to have Sam Presti at their practice. It won't hurt recruiting either, even though I doubt it would change anyones mind.Locally,it could.I think Sam is very good at what he does. There are plenty of guys that have criticized every trade, every draft pick.I stopped questioning his decisions after Serge. Some people criticized his decisions because we lost in the NBA finals last year.THE NBA FINALS!I've questioned moves made in the past, but it's so much more fun to just let him do what he do and sit back and enjoy.(except offensive rebounds and turnovers)

Was watching the Spurs and Heat game tonight on TNT and was surprised that the Spurs weren't playing their top 6 players; Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Green, with Jackson and Leonard injured and they almost won the game in the last 7 minutes of the final period. They have an unbelieveable 2nd unit that could match-up with the best Miami's top players.

That said, the Thunder should start developing their 2nd unit to be as strong as their 1st unit, if they hope to be fresh for a long season, including their centers!

There is one hitch to the story, as I read in this morning's news, is that the NBA commissioner will put a substantial sanction on the Spurs for resting his top players and sending them home due to a long 11 game stretch wa from home, according to Popovich.

One news analyst said that only a coach like Popovich could demand his 2nd unit to play hard to keep at pace with the defending champions, Heat!

I guess the coach is still the boss in the NBA, but all teams are the same as the Spurs!

Kentucky can easily recruit guys like that and consistently reload each year.
It bothers me that UK will have five 7 footers sitting on the bench and OSU has trouble finding one that can play.

I'm not a fan of the one-and-done year either. It usually doesn't work out for most of the kids that do attend one year of college (or not at all). Usually their pro career is one-and-done because they're physically and mentally too immature.
Not that many Kobe's out there, but you can't tell that to the high school phenoms.
They want the bling and the ring and education doesn't mean a thing.

I hate the one-and-done rule. Players should stay in college at least 3 years, for their own good, and to make college recruiting less tedious on college coaches. Why kill college basketball? sure, I love the Thunder, and I hope these OSU guys get a chance to go to such a great organization. What an honor to have Sam Presti there to scout you, though. Just would like to see what this group of OSU players can do with two years of playing together under their belt. all this kind of discourages colleges from going after the 5-star athletes, if they are trying to build a program.
