Come on Zach, really? James Harden knew of this extension deadline for many, many months. He knew what he wanted. You wanna tell me this was all just thrown on his lap all of a sudden and he was given 1 hour!? Not only that, but Presti had begun negotiating with him days before and had already made 2 offers that were declined. So, yeah, maybe that final offer had a 1 hour deadline on it, but really...this was months in the making. It became apparent that James Harden wanted the max or nothing..and I'm not even sure he wanted to stay in OKC period. Presti was very forthcoming about his intentions. There were no games played. This was not his first offer to Harden. Presti knew the organizations's limit and he was forthcoming about the fact that that WAS the final offer, take it or we have to trade you. If James Harden hadn't given ANY thought to whether or not he'd stay in OKC for less than the max in the MONTHS prior to this, then that's his fault.

Kevin Martin is a nice, efficient scorer. But Harden is a wrecking ball, a 4th quarter ignitor, and the one player who the Spurs and Lakers had no answer for. And while I really like Jeremy Lamb's game/potential, it really feels like OKC traded away their best shot at the title this year

Ben - rebounding is certainly important, but it's not one of OKC's glaring issues, by any means. You'll find many of the top teams in the NBA aren't exactly high statistically in rebounding, especially on the offensive end. In fact, go look at offensive rebounding stats last year and tell me who the bottom 5 teams in that category are. Kevin Love is a great rebounder, but it's partly due to the fact that he camps in the lane. He's actually NOT a good defender at all, in my opinion. He's more interested in rebounding position than man defense.

The Thunder surely needs its center or power forward to grab 24 rebounds and 23 points, just like a Kevin Love does for the Timberwolves. I don't know why the heck does Presti not understand the team needs a big man who can get rebounds and score to be able to get all players to contribute and notput all the burden to Kevin Durant's shoulders.
How does Kevin Love do the rebounding when he isn't that tall? Just amazing!

Please. Harden has a huge ego. He didn't want to stay in OKC and Presti knew it. Of course he publicly said he would sacrifice and wanted to stay - you think he's stupid enough to say otherwise? Dont think he had any desire to remain in the shadow of big brother(s). That's obviously his choice and you can't blame the guy for having the desire to prove himself as the leader of the team, but don't refuse a $54M offer and then go cry about how it all went down. He knew what he was doing. Presti doesn't play games.

Nothing against Harden and I hope he does well, but you won't get any cheers from me. You've got the wrong uniform on now, buddy. Sorry.
