The game’s result was what happened in the past week. This was the Thunder’s 5th games in the past 7 nights, and 6th game in the past 9 nights, including two back-to-backs. This was the grizzlies’ 7th game, with one day off between two games, no back-to-backs. If the schedules were reversed, or the Thunder had another day off, the game would have been a lot closer, and I think Thunder wins.

Would Memphis really want Randolph guarding KD? No. KD is the best rebounder on the team and it’s not because he’s strong. Obviously, he can’t match Randolph on the boards, but who on our team does anyway? KD could seriously bother Randolph defensively. Was there not a game last year (or the year before) where they went with KD on Randolph late and he just gave him fits? There’s some one-on-one matchup issus, but mismatches go both ways. You remove Perk, who is a blatant offensive liability. You then have a lineup that is far more potent offensively. Defensively I still say that small lineup has enough length and speed to help where help is needed and still recover.

J-Rod, would you really want KD guarding Randolph? I wouldn’t. You saw how that lineup got killed on the boards in the fourth quarter at Detroit. Imagine what Memphis would do to that lineup on the glass. -DM-

So why are we adjusting to Memphis’s lineup???? DM says Memphis’s best lineup forces us to play our starting lineup (big). Why does Brooks want to do that? Why should we alter our game for them? Let’s play our game and pass the buck to Memphis. So here you go, we’re playing Westbrook, Thabo, Martin, KD, Ibaka. You play Gasol and Randolph if you want and try to match our speed and let the best team win. If I’m Brooks I say screw it, here’s my best lineup, I don’t care who the other team has on the floor. Do mismatches not go both ways? They have size, we have speed, let’s play.

redriver, wtf are you talking about? They are on the same team. This isn’t freaking little league. Jealousy? What are they jealous of? It may take a little time to get everyone to gel, but that doesn’t mean that can’t ever play together. Yes, they need to get him the ball more, but they didn’t freeze him out on purpose and to say they did is reading way too much into things. The rest of your post is ridiculous conjecture and downright silliness. Get a clue, dude.

K-Mart wide open in the corner for 3, Maynor looks right at him & then misses on his own 3…. Game b4 last, K-mart hits the floor & picks himself up, no Thunder player offered to help him up….

Jealousy, envy, stupidity, yes absolutely….

Thunder player division of old & new beginning to rear it’s ugly head…. Could it be that the VETERAN had something to say following Westbrooks “no remorse for horrific shot selection” birthday game & now he has been deemed “not one of us” ????

The Thunder holiday uniforms should on a background of green with envy with red scarlet letters for shame….

Time for the kidos to GROW UP, they aren’t children anymore….

I hate to say this, but if I’m another team I actually welcome the sight of Kendrick Perkins on the floor. He’s a complete offensive liability and I truly feel he’s mediocre in every other aspect. Nick Collison is much more effective. Brooks seems to stick with lineups and players just for the sake of it. He’s afraid to shake anything up. Why Kendrick Perkins even starts against half of our opponents is beyond me. He starts because he’s our “starting center” I guess and that’s just the way it is.

it just felt like the Grizzlies were so far ahead of us coaching wise. Like Collins can just tweak a little bit here and there to get the perfect game out his players and Brooks is still figuring out his pathetic offense while the defense is going south in the meantime. Brooks is clearly the least talented guy on that team.

I actually thought Westbrook played much better. Obviously, a few of his shots were WTF moments, but he facilitated a 100 times better. First quarter was a really good quarter for the Thunder.

Bottom line is this: Memphis is the real deal and OKC has clearly taken a step back, Personally, I don’t think Presti is done yet..

And finally, Gasol is a chump. Who bounces the ball off someone’s head after they have scored? Cheap shot.. But I will admit laughing while watching the replay..
