Agree with EVERYTHING you said J-Rod. But let’s not forget his sometimes nonexistent defense. It’s hard to watch “Bad Westbrook” at this point. This is year 5 for him and he’s making the same mistakes. Everyone handles him with kid gloves and makes excuses for him. “I thought Russell played well.” Really?? “Russ was unbelievable tonight.” Shoot me.

Has he carried the team before? Absolutely, many times. But the inconsistencies are glaring. At this point certain things are just unacceptable.

Maynor played great. Westbrook was actually horrible again. I don’t care what anyone says, he was horrible. He’s been horrible for pretty much the entire young season. You’ve got Maynor out there playing fantastic, which was a nice reprieve from having to watch Westbrook out there fumbling and clanging around, taking horribe shots, and ignoring his teammates. THen, in classic fashion, Brooks pulls Maynor at the moment where he’s really playing well, and puts Westbrook back in. There’s no single player in the NBA who has more potential to either make his team really great or an enormous disappointment than Westbrook. The dude is just too volatile. His basketball IQ will be the last piece of OKC’s championship puzzle.

Cant get too excited about Maynor. Don’t know when he’ll be shipped out of here. Everyone leaves :’(

Great to see Serge put up 25. Looking forward to a break-out year for him.

2). More minutes for Maynor

3). Less shots and turnovers for RW

Lamb is a rookie, just got here, what 2 weeks ago? and doesn’t know the offense yet. Reggie has been there a whole year, he knows the offense, knows what Coach Brooks wants out of him.

And you mention his shooting % this season, how many MINUTES has he played? not a lot, so I don’t think % matters in the little time he’s played. But seriously, lets get real, there’s not a whole lot of playing time available for any of the young guys, they’re way down on the depth chart. They’ll all get their chance (Reggie, Lamb, PJ3, Orton, Liggins) in spot up duty and that’s probably the best they can expect this whole season, barring and injury. Remember, Jackson ONLY played last year because of eric’s injury, he probably would have spent time in tulsa if not for that.

I think Darnell’s point is that Regie should be more utilizes as a slasher, drive and score or drive and kick threat. he can still do that with Maynor at the point. But that may be a bit too complicated an offensive play for Brooks

If Lamb really is less of a scoring threat than Lamb then that part of the trade was virtually worthless because he’ll never help this team.

Wow you really are blinded by your love for Reggie. Reggie shot 32% from the field (21% from 3) last year in 45 games. In the summer league he shot 41% and didn’t hit 1 3 pointer. So far through four games played this year he’s shooting 16% from the field. Lamb on the other hand led all rookie guards in summer league fg% (including Lillard and Waiters who are both doing really well right now) and averaged over 20 points per game in summer league. It wouldn’t take much for Lamb to be a better shooter than Jackson. There is no way you can logically make that statement.

How is Reggie going to be more of a threat when you concluded above that RJ may have to deal w/ being a non factor until Maynor moves on? It’s not about position, it’s about playing the players that compliment each other’s game, and right now w/ Maynor at the point for the 2nd group, he would benefit from Lamb’s game. Whether it being a spot shooter or slasher.

I get it that you may be boys with RJ and have had more communication with him, but his game is nowhere close to Lambs.
