A loss is a loss is a loss, same thing for wins.... or is it ????

A loss on the road to a motivated San Antonio, no big deal.... A loss at HOME to the Hawks minus a star player, hmmmm, gotta think about that one....

A win against Detroit, is that a reason to believe everything is where it's supposed to be or are there still "situations".... Ask the Lakers....

Dude...Do you really think they don't value every single game? They're going to do what they do after every game.Break down the film, make corrections and adjustments, come up with a game plan for the next foe and on game night, lace them up and give it all they have. What the hell else can they do? One of the things I love about KD's competitive nature I've seen several times after tough home losses in the playoffs. He gets this look on his face like he wants to tell the opponent;"I'm going to go pee and get a drink of water then lets play another game right now."Of course, the best one was after the loss to the Lakers in 2010.While the Lakers were celebrating a one point win he gathers the team together while still on the court and says; NEXT YEAR STARTS NOW!I think a player like that should never have his desire questioned. And he knows his teammates feel the same way.

Sorry but in the widest open West, you need to value every single game. I guess they're not worried because they figure they'll be back in the finals.

Umm... The clippers have the Thunder's number & Dwight Howard is in the west. Keep thinking you're too cute to play D... You have a giant "Western Conference Champions minus the reigning 6th man of the year" title on your back.

You cats watch too much Skip Bayless.the team needs Westbrook taking tons of shots. The reason KD is able to be so efficient is because he plays alongside a scoring machine with no conscience.Defenses must pay attention to RW at all times which takes a little pressure off KD who actually needs time to feel his way into a rhythm in a game. Also,Russell taking shots is often a bailout for a bad possession. If he scores,no one praises him for saving a stalled offensive possession. If he misses,he gets killed.KD is the 3 time scoring champ.I think he's getting his.

Also,I think maybe Reggie is unfairly being strung along in the .maynor saga.I don't currently see him as more than a negotiation tool.Maynor is better, but Reggie has potential. On a bad team,he could get the minutes he needs to blossom. He'll probably get traded eventually, unless we can resign Maynor.

Thabeet is rim patrol. We have more scoring than we an actually use as it is.We don't run an offense for a scoring center.Hes in there to hustle and change shots. He actually is doing a decent job.Let him do his thing.

Well, I have to side with Darnell on this one. Which I'm sure will be a great relief to him! :) But I don't worry about who's taking the most shots all that much. And I think doing so on a regular basis risks the onset of Skip Bayless Syndrome.

Short version of the story for me is that if Westbrook has an advantage, take it. He's not an All Star for nothing, and he can cause havoc with another team's defense. It can open up opportunities for himself, as well as for KD and the rest of the team.

When he's on, that's often what happens. When he's off, he and the team can suffer. And he needs to improve in that area. Like he needs me to tell him that. But, he's on more than he's off.

When he plays within the offense and lets the game come to him, he's completely freaking deadly, like no one else on the team save Durant himself. OKC has two players who can totally take over a game, and Russ is one of them. That's not a weakness.

Plus, again, KD has been the scoring champion three straight years with Russell Westbrook as his point guard. How exactly is Durant's game suffering? Yes, he could score more, but what's the potential trade-off? If Westbrook goes passive, the Thunder will suffer. That's one of the few things I'm pretty darn sure about. He needs to be aggressive, but channel it within the flow of the game. And again, when he does that, the best option a defender has is to pray.

I just think people get too caught up in the whole Westbrook's not a true point guard thing. *Of course* he's not a true point guard, and he never will be. But it works for the Thunder. Their track record says so. And you don't have to have a "true point guard" in the NBA to win titles. Ask the Lakers about that.

Anyway, not trying to bash anyone, as I understand there are different opinions. Just expressing mine, in my typically (not) short and to the point manner.

Hi, I am a fan -and a follower from up here- of the OKC since when it was a "bad" team. I have enjoyed its meteoric ascent to the top of the NBA and wish we can soon celebrate the first OKC championship.

I also follow DM nuggets, and find he is very balanced and generally right with his comments -which are GREATLY appreciated, especially from here, when it becomes difficult to follow OKC between the broadcast of too many hockey games... (Good thing right now hockey is quiet and we can watch more NBA).

Anyway, I am with Trevor about KD taking more shots than RW. Even though I see DM point in worrying more about the big picture, it is a matter of probabilities. As Trevor well said -and many would agree- KD is the best shooter in the planet. Thus, I would like him to take more shoots -if not for his stat sheet, at least for the sake of his team.

I find DM is a great fan of Russell (nothing wrong with that, I agree he is a great player and I hope we will see much more from him in the coming years). But he needs to understand his role within the team. And he needs to understand KD greatness -again, if not for him, at least for the greater good of the team.

Thanks for this space to comment and to DM: follow with your nuggets, they are always looked for by many fans like me.

Thanks, OttawaFan
