I'm still picking opinions of the most important individual question. Will Ibaka play or is he being trained to play center. This team has a million interchangeable parts except at center. The Thunder have matured and will be great.

[...] Darnell Mayberry: “My second impression of Martin after a media scrum interviewed him for the first time today: “What a pleasure!” Martin is actually a player who’s unafraid to express himself in the media. He’s an effective communicator, he’s introspective and he’s comfortable in his own skin. In other words, he’s an adult. And that’s so refreshing to have on this team among a bunch of young 20-somethings who are overly cautious of not crossing the company line.” [...]

Hey Darnell, just had a thought. (Yeah, it happens from time to time.) I'm wondering if losing Harden might influence Scott Brooks's decision on who gets the nod for primary back-up point guard. Maybe this tips the balance in favor of Maynor? A steady and familiar hand out there to run the second unit, especially as they try to integrate the new guy. Not saying Jackson won't see playing time, but maybe this means that Maynor sees more.

[...] As much as I agree with what Dave Zirin writes regarding the James Harden trade, the Thunder hijacked the Rockets for more than just spare parts. Furthermore, I understand the concept of athletes getting the most money possible. But does money (and we’re talking a substantial amounts in Harden’s case) come at the expense of possible NBA championships? Or how much is worth missing out on that? Besides, if you’re a small-market club like the Thunder, how could you turn down a deal like this? The Nation Lamb hops: “If you had a video camera on me, y’all probably would be laughing. When I got the call I was just like, ‘Huh?’ I was like ‘Stop playing.’ I thought it was a prank call. It was surprising, but it was good news.” NewsOK [...]
