Everybody, not in OKC, is saying the fans will be upset. I'm not upset. I think it was a good trade for us. How are KD, Russ, Collison and Ibaka going to accept less than market value in their contract and Harden not accept 5 mil less than market value? What a prick! Is 1 mil a year more that much of a sacrifice to keeping the group together Harden?

So what we have is someone who isn't a team player and let the media attention and probably his agent get to his head. I'm fine with him leaving.

Let's talk about what we're losing. We're losing 16 points per game, easily replaceable withe Martin, Lamb, PJ3 and Maynor in the second team. We're losing the chemistry, but I feel the rest of the guys will get that back. The starting lineup isn't changing. The only thing we're losing that we can't replace is Harden's ability, shown most in the playoff series last year, to be that 3rd unstoppable option that defenses normally don't have the depth to deal with and we win the game. I think Brooks will work this out and come up with a strategy to overcome this. I see 2 options currently. Must like Ibaka had a breakout year last year with block shots and defense, I think this year he could breakout offensively. Also, another option as the season goes on may end up being PJ3!

Let's face it. Harden wanted money and clearly chose not to stay with us in OKC. Presti warned him he would be traded. He chose 4-5 mil more over 4 years instead of staying with us. And one thing that really gave me an idea of Harden's real character was during the Miami Finals series. No other OKC player went out to party in Miami during the series except Harden. Clearly, the "NBA life" is more important to Harden than winning a championship and commitment to team. Rockets fans will learn soon enough. You're resting your hopes on a guy who can't handle being a starter. Who has little commitment to his team. He was willing to leave his "best friends" in OKC for $4-5 million more over 4 years. Good luck to you Harden but I think you made a wrong decision.
