You just don’t get it. This is a mental health issue that has nothing to do with his ability on the court. He may have a problem with anxiety, but it seems you have a cognitive issue (if you understand what that means). You should be ashamed of yourself, but as someone else has said, the only reason you are apologizing is you were told to. Thanks for showing just what a sports writer thinks of people with disabilities. No surprise!!

Let me get this straight; you are sorry you used “head case” in describing Royce, however, you still believe that he is the last kid the Thunder “would have drafted”. You slammed him in numerous ways. Yet, you want Mr. White to accept your apology? Try this: You are a d-bag, terrible writing, undeserving, shallow, self centered, shell of a person. It is easy to apologize after you have created a huge backlash and created name recognition through controversy.Why would you even choose to write an article about a rookie on another team? Why would you opt to attack a kid that has publically admitted (before the draft) to suffering from a mental illness? Weren’t there any Thunder related topics worth opining on? I cannot concieve of any legitimate reasoning for doing what you did. It is not only the fact that you chose to use the phrase “head case” but that you chose to attack this kid at all. Now you get to issue an apology and look like a good person? I think not. Enjoy the publicity and I hope that you don’t ever have to truly understand what you did by having a loved one that suffers from anxiety issues.
