In response to SPK's comments: Aldrich used to be super good, I watched him play college basketball and he was an absolute beast. It is unfortunate for him that he got drafted by OKC. He had great potential but something has gone terribly wrong. It's like he has been beaten down to where he doesn't seem to even care anymore. And Reggie was better when he first stepped onto our court than he is now. It appears he can't dribble the ball without having to ask one of the coaches permission or what to do next. Maybe instead of blaming the players we need to take a look at the coaching skills or lack thereof. These two players have tremedous talent, but someone needs to be able to bring that out in them. A quality coach knows how to do that.

Aldrich is a bust. And I simply don't believe a team run by people that make it such a success would think something so stupid. He was terrible in any role last year when he got on the floor, and now he's the worst player on the floor in the summer league. I for one, am not blind..

To me, Eric Maynor should be in the discussion also, not just Ibaka and Harden. Eric has been the point guard the starter of the offense, hit big shots, excellent passes to get and keep the second unit going. When he went down, it took a 5 time NBA finals winner to take his place. He is the one that said to make sacrifices to keep this team together.

[...] Darnell Mayberry: “Cole Aldrich turned the ball over on the game’s first possession. The writing was on the wall from there. This was not his day. Of course, with yesterday not being his day either that means he hasn’t had a day in Orlando. But I’m withholding all judgment on Aldrich until the regular season. The Thunder believes Aldrich needs to be around his regular teammates. The team believes he’ll blend in better and be able to contribute more of what it is he’s able to do in the regular season setting. Write off Aldrich if you must. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see what happens in the fall.” [...]

Darnell, you're kidding me. Jackson was awful today. He tried to one up Stephenson and ended up getting smoked in that matchup on both ends of the floor. Meanwhile the team's offense tanked while he tried the win the PG duel.
