No. Not worth it. Totally not worth it. Regardless of his undeniable talent, Harden is a marketer’s dream. Plus Durant and Westbrook absolutely do not want to take a step backward. Do that and I guarantee you they’re rethinking what they want to do when their contracts expire. To keep superstars in a small market, as Cleveland found, they need to think you’re doing everything possible to win now, not in 5 years.

Hope this isn’t true. I’d rather we move up into the mid teens and get either Draymond Green or Royce White. Both could be sparks for the second unit and potentially play crunch time in the Thunder’s small lineup.

you guys dont understand …harden is a regular season player only!!! he gave us 2 good games out of 4 series and basically laid an egg in the finals..he doesnt play defense and can never be a starter..he had 1 start all season and put up 4 points..and on top of all this i bet hes askin for close to a max contract behind closed doors..all he is worried about is fame,money and his beard ..presti is about that ship..the recipe is cut scott brooks (got outcoached all playoffs) trade harden, sign ibaka and dangle e.maynor on the trading block to see what comes up

I agree with most of the opinions here. I love Beal and see him as the second best prospect, besides Davis who could be the best player ever. But it is not at that position that OKC needs help unless they see him as a foil for DWade.

They still need quickness at center and may amnesty Perkins who is close to worthless. I have not understood why Aldrich got no playing time all year. Any suggestions?

If Presti does not sign Harden to a long term contract, then it is in the Thunder’s best interest to trade Harden by the trade deadline mid-season. If he can get the Bobcats to way overvalue Harden now, it is best to trade him now.

The Thunder may have realized that it is impossible to sign both Ibaka and Harden under the new cap. They could trade Hardin for for the pick and Beale would be the 6th man next year. They could also trade Ibaka for the top power forward in the draft.

The alternative may be that they will lose either Hardin or Ibaka and get nothing in return.

There isn’t any way that Presti will get rid of a high profile player for a new draft pick. he’s smarter than that and is the reason Okc is where they are at this time. Dynasty in the making for sure.
