A better question would be “why is Fisher playing so much”. At BEST Fish could be considered the 8th best player on the roster, behind KD, Russ, Harden, Serge, Perk, Nick and Thabo. So what is Brooks thinking having Fisher on the floor for almost all of the 4th period in a closely contested game 2? This isn’t rocket science. There is no match up scenario/strategy in which it makes a lick of sense to be playing Fish instead of some other combination of those other 7 players. Brooks did a fine job when this squad was still developing- but now, as a legitimate title contender, we are having to win games in spite of our coach’s insisting on NOT letting our best players play when it matters most.

It’s easy to sit back and criticize when you’re a fan, and don’t have to make the calls. Some of that’s just part of being a fan, since the Basic Fan Package we all get at the start of a season includes instructions on criticizing coaching moves. But some folks take it a little too far, and think they’re good enough to actually be an NBA coach themselves. Which is pretty freaking funny to watch.
