Not because of the loss/ losses since the All-star break, Nick. They could be 56-10 and the jury would still be out on Brooks for me. He's just more suited to be an assistant coach.

In game adjustments, late game play execution, getting the team to play hard for a full 4 quarters every night- not Brooks' strength.

This team has the record they do because they have great, self-motivated players. But this is by no means a disciplined team. The inconsistencies are glaring. You hear Nick Collison say it all the time.

You can relax though. He's probably not going anywhere due to lack of better options.

Is there an African basketball league where Serge Ibaka was a star before he became an NBA star? I would like to know if there were any other players who were like him in that league, and if many NBA scouts go to their playoffs. And is the European League entering their playoffs, or the Chinese? Aren't some former NBA players still playing for China or Russia or wherever? What about that big 7'0 player that the Thunder has Petrick or something like that. How is he doing in his progression?

He is the guy who should be coaching this team. I don't know what people expect but he's brought this team so far so fast. You expect an NBA title immediately? It doesn't work that way. We're getting spoiled. We're in a great spot right now. It was disappointing to lose the last regular season game, but it was a meaningless game and I don't care much for KD's scoring title, I want to go deep into the playoffs. Westbrook got some confidence back last night. KD made some good shots and drove to the bucket well. But I don't see why you people are asking for Brooks' head right now. That's insane to me.

[...] Darnell Mayberry: “That’s what has got to make this loss sting a tad bit. The Thunder had a chance to sort of control its destiny with its first-round matchup but couldn’t seal the deal. A win over Denver would have increased the chances that the Thunder avoided the defending champions. Instead, it now appears that the Thunder will draw its least favorable matchup. And that marks the latest time the this team has displayed a disturbing trend. Every time the Thunder has a chance to control its destiny by winning, it seems the team doesn’t do it.” [...]

I absolutely believe Brooks when he says he doesn't care about "manipulating" post season matchups and home court advantage- because to do so would be smart (why not angle for every advantage you can get?)- and Brooks has proven repeatedly that he ain't that. Why would any coach with half a brain insist on playing Fisher for the entire 4th period in favor of red hot D. Cook, or honest to God interior defenders/rebounders like Perk or Collison? It is hard enough to win it all with a good coach. With one that is hell bent on NOT plaiting our best players in crunch time? I'll be surprised if we manage to get out of the 2nd round this year. If Presti really wants to win a title some day, this needs to be Brooks' last season with the Thunder.

[...] Russell Westbrook said his wrist was “a little sore,” but does not anticipate missing any time.Westbrook is as durable as they come in the NBA, so we’d expect that his wrist won’t be an issue. He banged it late in the fourth quarter, but Westbrook stayed in the game and played through it despite wincing noticeably when it first occurred. Westbrook will have some time to rest it before the first round of the playoffs begins. Apr. 26 – 8:21 am et Source: Oklahoman [...]
