I agree the 7 game suspension is an insult. It’s just wrong. The NBA had a chance to really make a difference here and they (whoever makes the decision) didn’t step up. It’s sad. I guess we all know who to hold responsible when RA actually kills someone!

Violence in the work is a major offence and the offender is fired and banned from the facility. Just a suspension for this act is an insult. What does this teach the children in our country. Just recently a young girl assaulted an opposing player and was arrested for assault. Are NBA players above this, I think not.

The 7 game ban is an insult to OKC and all fans of the game. I’m done with the NBA. How many games was it that Artest was suspended from before? Clearly the NBA doesn’t care about the players. You’d think we’d come a long way from the days of the gladiator. NOT.

I am in complete agreement! This man has shown his true self over and over, he needs to be removed for the safety of all others! There is so much difference in someone getting injured unintentionally during the regular play of the game and someone injuring a person just to injure and that is what we saw on Sunday. I am waiting to hear what is going to happen to RA and I hope I and many others are not going to be disappointed!

I want to see how Derek Fisher stands on this regarding the unions and Artest. Who’s side will he take? I think it is in the best interest of all players in the NBA to clear the house of players like Artest, so they can concentrate on basketball, rather than the careless antics of a psychopath who considers injuring opponents to gain a foothole a legitimate way to win games. Should players start wearing helmets? Is it getting to that point? Just let them play, but within certain constraints established since the earliest days of basketball. Consistent rule-breakers, who can’t be rehabilitated, must be banished from the league.
