While I agree that Lebron is better overall as a player because of what he does on every part of the court, Durant still deserves the MVP in my opinion. The award for being the best overall player in the league is air calls and "love" from the refs. MVP means Most Valuable Player, or am I mistaken? I think that Durant is more VALUABLE to his teams success... without Durant OKC would be a 7th or 8th seed in the west, and this would be bc of Hardens playmaking skills mainly. Lebron isnt as valuable ... sure the Heat are the best team in the league with him probably, but without him, they would still be the 2nd or 3rd seed in the playoffs. I believe Lebron is the most complete and best player in the league but I believe durant should win the MVP because he is more vital to their success

I'm not worried about this loss at all in terms of Playoffs and potential finals match up (like someone said this game was pretty close considering how many things went wrong and it was in Miami) but in terms of getting top seed in the league I don't think it will happen now...Heat look poised to go on one of those little hot streaks to close the season and with drose not around to stop them i'm betting they are going to grab first overall in the league

Lebron is just a better overall player than Durant man.... compared to Lebron Durant is kindof one dimensional...

There is nothing Durant has done any significantly better this season except hit higher % of FreeThrows...

I don't understand why Serge isn't playing more minutes. He started off playing well then i don't see him the rest of the first half. Is it because he doesn't set real good screens?

[...] Darnell Mayberry: “LeBron James just got my MVP vote. Kevin Durant is second. It’s not just about tonight, although it certainly played a part. But the guy has been phenomenal. He hit a rough stretch recently but so does everybody. What he did tonight — after rolling his ankle early in the first quarter, mind you — is what MVPs do. He put his team on his back, did everything he had to do, when he had to do it, and turned his mediocre performance ten days earlier in Oklahoma City into a distant memory.” [...]

This game was INTENSE. If it's SAS vs CHI I'll still watch but OKC vs MIA would be more epic. Let the rivalry commense!!

James Harden was doing whatever he wanted for a while- fearlessly I might add. Of course they went away from it.

Russ struggled against Miami once again. I am ticked that he still refuses to get back on defense after he doesn't get a call. That's not fair to his team. BUT when he did get to the FT line, he made them.

There were several open 3s for the Heat. Lebron found his guys. KD and Russ tried to force the issue, playing angry. KD gets blame for all nine of his turnovers. When the bigs are just watching the majority of the game, they don't expect to get the ball so of course they drop it.

Even with all the mistakes, we didn't get embarrassed, we had a chance and we were in it.

Agree on would have liked to see DC stay in after hitting the 3. He seemed on--and would have liked going with that for a while.
Thought Wade's foul on Kobe in allstar game way more flagrant than Perkin's on Wade--another way of saying--do not think he deserved tech for that one. And, Russell's on LBJ--looked bad from one angle and a lot of space between them from another angle.
overall, think Thunder played Heat harder in Miami than Heat played in OKC. Tighten up the TOs; and make some of those baskets that are close in (how many did Thunder miss within 2 feet of basktet? seemed higher than norm.) Thunder had a chance to win this one--and, Miami never seemed "in it" in the game played in OKC.

I know Cook just returned from injury, and it was good to see him back, after he hit the corner three, Brooks took him out. He went with a lineup of Westbrook, Fisher, Durant, Harden, Ibaka... That lineup got exposed badly. Several defensive mistakes capped Off by a WIDE open three for Chalmers.

We should have stayed with DC , let him stay in rythm, with The poor shooting by Wes and Durant having a tough time getting The ball Cook could have spread The Floor and also given us an offensive boost with a couple threes.

In my opinion thunder have the easiest schedule left compared to bulls, heat, or spurs. Hopefully we come out on top. Which I think will double our chances of winning it all if we have homecourt.
