Kobe Bryant has class. The Lakers have another gear they go into when playoff time arrives. Pao Gasol is a great player. We beat them at home this time, but that doesn't mean we OWN them. Kobe was 100% correct in what he said to Harden about coming to the lunch table. He isn't quite ready to join his company, but he is getting there. Durant and Westbrook are there (I think). I hope Perkins can control his temper and help us out when playoff time comes. I wish Thabo would get well. I wish Collison would get well. I wish Maynor would get well. Ibaka may be our greatest pure athlete. If only he could develop a few more shots, like a sky hook or a turnaround jumper or something.

Very fine analysis. This was probably their best all-around game with terrific low d. I think the defense will get better and better as Ibaka continues to improve. He is starting to understand one-on-one snd body up.

With Thabo, it could get interesting.

This was the first Thunder-Lakers game where it was just obvious from the outset that Oklahoma City was the by-far better team. The score was closer at the half than it should have been simply because of poor shot selection, and it seems like half the turnovers are players trying to make a highlight reel pass. Just a little better decision making, and the Thunder could have been up 10 or more at the half.

I've come to accept that every game, we'll see Russell blow a dunk, Nick draw a charge and Perk pick up a technical foul. They're as common as KD kissing his mama.

On Artest, I'll agree the name change was silly, but I have to admit it was pretty funny listening to PA Guy have to say, "Technical foul on World Peace."

Speaking of PA Guy... Coming out of a timeout with 2-plus minutes left in the third and he's imploring people to stand up? Really, dude? Really?

I don't remember seeing that many Lakers fans when they were good. Now it's just sad. Two of them were in my seats when I arrived. My ticket partner had to cancel at the last minute, and they asked if they could move over and one of them sit in his seat. As Brian Davis would say: Not no, but H-E-a double stickman no.

[...] Darnell Mayberry: “Way too many Lakers fans in the house. It’s like that in every arena in the NBA. But I assumed the Thunder’s fan base had grown into something more special. It was pretty nice to hear the home fans drown out the Lakers fans during intros, though. I can’t stand when a visiting team’s fans take over at a road arena. That goes for any team.” Share: [...]

I was definitely excited to hear the boos drown out the lakers fans. By early second half the laker fan beside me had gone from rude comments about westbrook to heaping praise on the thunder fans. You take what you can get from a laker fan.
