Better team won tonight, Portland’s second half was pretty damn good and LA is such a beast.

Rus played well tonight, I put his first few games down to “ring rust” he looked good.

I’m sooooo impressed with Perk, just the little things, O Rebounds and tip in’s, he has improved 400% on last year, back to 08′ style of play.

Good job DM.

OKC has got to get a low post scorer and defender to be a REAL threat in the post season. It is painfully obvious that OKC is undersized and will not matchup well with bigger front lines. the reliance on jump shots continues to hurt

DM,

Do you think its time to start panicking? OKC should have taken this game. The Thunder has to completely blowout Houston to regain its confidence. The team needs its confidence back after these last 2 losses.

” Harden was by far the best player on the court tonight for the Thunder ” ……….

In a 10 point loss.

@ DM ……… why do you think Thunder should’ve ” taken this game ” ? Portland is very good, may have gotten off to the best start of any team in the NBA.

I knew it was going to be a battle , yesterday.

I’m sorry, my above comment should’ve been directed to @ LP .

[...] From Darnell Mayberry’s notes: “Thunder coach Scott Brooks was asked after the game if this game was a test run for Harden starting down the line. Brooks seemed to take offense to the question. Here’s his response in its entirety. ‘I like what Thabo does for our team,’ Brooks said. ‘I know that is a topic at times. James is a good player. Thabo is a good player. But there’s not a controversy on who starts and who doesn’t start. It’s how we play as a group. It’s how each guy performs and does his job and performs their role. James is a terrific player. He has a great sense about himself and he understands his role, and Thabo is the same way. Thabo’s one of the best defenders in the league. It’s unfortunate that a lot of people don’t look at that. They look at ‘Well, he scores six points a game.’ But that’s not what we need him for.’” Yeah, that’s the question I asked Brooks. [...]

OKC was looking very good in the first half.. very under control even with Durant not doing well. If the defense was consistant, the game would have been taken. Seems the team always has defensive meltdowns every so often.

The wheels seemed to fall off after a couple questionable calls went against the Thunder. You could see it in their faces and with their body language. Everything went downhill after that.

I agree MM, they let the fouls get to them. and then they got down and couldn’t buy a stop.

one thing I really hate seeing is when one of our players shoots a jumper and NOT ONE okc player is even close to try to rebound. it drives me crazy. I wish they’d put Cole in, he’d get us some rebounds.

RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU THINK WE NEED A LOW POST SCORER… we dont even need a great one. just one which will get ~15 points down there consistantly. Either Ibaka and Perkins need to develop their post game. This would open everybody else up for better looks.
