There’s an old saying on the playground. “Don’t jump.” Basically it means you got no shot at blocking a guy’s dunk so don’t even try. That’s all I was saying. As for Mullens, he didn’t do anything that stood out. He had a nice baseline jumper and missed another jumper from the top of the key. Pretty much the same old, same old. Had he gone into the post and shown some sort of back-to-the basket game, or even more aggressiveness rebounding, he would have been in my top five observations. -DM-

I found it interesting and enjoyable to read. Didn’t quite understand comment that Nazr should know better than to challenge Ibaka, but then I wasn’t there, perhaps the shot wasn’t challengeable.

Also a little disappointed not to hear anything about Mullens. Is he not showing any attitude down low yet?

The roster is set at this point, and what you see is what you’ll get. Besides, they already have some solid weapons at center in Nazr Mohammed and Cole Aldrich coming off the bench. The front office traded up to get Aldrich as the 11th overall pick last year. So I doubt they’ll do anything further that prevents him from seeing the court. The last point to keep in mind is that the stated plan has always been to field a team that can grow together and has sustainability. Going out and trading for a 37-year-old Ben Wallace, or grabbing any other veteran of that ilk, is not the direction this franchise is going in. -DM-
