Agreed; would be great to start the season with every team playing. That would allow the NBA to market and showcase all the teams — instead of hyping superstars like they currently do.

But your argument isn’t helped by calling David Stern “sharp.” It’s time for that guy to go.

I disagree. Christas Day has always traditionally been a day with few games in the past 20 years (no more than 5) so that all of the focus is on THOSE games, which in turn helps TV ratings..If you have multiple games going on at the same time, ratings are going to suffer because not everyone is watching that game.

It has always been like that on Christmas Day. It’s a way to showcase the best of the best..Sure, you could’ve included the Thunder as well in this year’s games but you can’t make everyone happy and someone is going to be left off. Probably next year, though.

Besides, there’s an NFL game going on that night, so I doubt the NBA wanted to go up against them, especially after coming back from a 149-day lockout.

It’s common sense.

It would be great to schedule a Thunder v Grizzly matchup on Christmas Day! Whether in OKC or Memphis, this would be a sell-out … and would likely have a Higher national audience … much better than the Elite 6!

Completely disagree with you there john. The NBA is finally back and people wanna see the best of the best play. The fans havent been waiting to see the non-playoff teams, they have been waiting to see the best and most talented teams play.

Glad to see the NBA back in action. It will give Rohde something to do and get him out of the college football game, which, by his own admission, he’s clueless. He proved that when he tried to compare Stoops to Bud & Barry, to prop up Bob.
