Dear Seattle. Thanks for selling us your team. Thanks for not remodeling your arena or building another. Thanks for not being business minded and shrewd enough to make an offer that would keep the team in your area. We may come get your football team some day if someone doesn’t beat us to it.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Seattle has the most passionate fan base in the country. Not supporting Clay Bennett has nothing to do with supporting the team. We all knew Bennett was going to steal franchise, so why would fans here support THAT?

35-45,000 per game, while they were at the Kingdome, demonstrates how accurate your claim is!

Seattle’s arena was built in 1995, not 1962 like you guys keep claiming.

Three things I have learned from the Thunder moving to OKC and listening to Seattle Fans:

1.) my suspicion that “progressive” or “progressives” is a load of hypocritical nonsense is true.

2.) Seattle residents account for a huge portion of Obama supporters and Huffington Post readers.

3.)Seattle residents are extremely prone to believing false and ridiculous stereotypes, and do not leave their area of the country very often.

I don’t begrudge Oklahoma City fans, but I do begrudge their ownership and the league. The fact that Sonic fans and Zombie Sonic fans are left to argue with one another shows how horrible this situation actually is. The blame should be left with Howard Shultz, Clay Bennett, Aubrey McClendon, Tom Ward and David Stern, not the fans of basketball in either market.

It is a bit irritating to hear this writer calling Seattle fans sore, however–as if they shouldn’t be. Wouldn’t any fan be if their team was taken away from them? No need to call them out.

the reason why Seattle lost the Sonics is because they didnt support their team. before the move to OKC the Thunder ( or Sonics) were in the bottom half of the league in attendance and the last two years in the bottom 5. The last year in Seattle the average attendance per game was 13,355 then after the move to OKC the attendance went up to 18,693. I realize that this was the first year for OKC to have a team but if Seattle really wanted to keep their team they would have gone out and supported the Sonics. Seattle can point the finger all they want and blame other people like the NBA and OKC who “stole” their team but in the end its their own fault.
