VERY fortunate to win this game. Imagine the rest of the team shooting about 30% with no pressure on their shots and how many times could they allow the point guards to blow by them? They need to have more of a scheme on both ends. KD won't always have this type of game and Ibaka to cover bad guard defense. RW obviously needs some mental help but it doesn't seem to come from the coaches corner.

read the "national" sports writer comment on thunder. really down on roster other than durant, starting with westbrook. personally, very disappointed with the way westbrook chose to start the game--drove 1 on 4 with the rest of the team just crossing midcourt and jacked up a leaning jump shot--and what that says about his mindset. think maynard's early appearance saved thunder at that point and gave them the opportunity to regroup.

westbrook is playing himself out of a "max contract" opportunity and an "all star" fan memory base because he is demonstrating an inability to involve the rest of the team in the offense.

4 assists for the starting point guard? (just barely over the 3 turnovers, and the scorers were VERY generous on the turnover calculation). a zillion missed shots.

and late in the game, trying to throw the ball away out of bounds? barely saved by reflex play of other player? brooks having to call time out with 6 sec because westbrook's garbage pass is AWAY from the basket??????

westbrook going to pout if he is not the focus????

Mike Krzyzewski for Kevin Durant:
I’m not sure a U.S. player in the last quarter century maybe performed better under pressure,” Krzyzewski said. “Usually you have two, three, four scorers that you depend on. For us, he was the guy that we depended on. For him to come up with almost 70 points in the final two games, what a magnificent performance from a great kid who is pure. And he’s really humble.

“He’s as good as anybody in the world right now as a basketball player.”

As a former Oklahomans living in Phoenix and with the Suns not making the NBA playoffs, we've made the Thunder our favorites and enjoy every game. They are a great team with lots of class!

Nice win for OKC! They showed real character when the Nuggets jumped out by 9 late in the game, and I wrote them off, figuring they'd have to win it at home in game 7. Then they came back with a 9-0 run to tie the score and go on to win...very, very impressive!
