However, this article speaks to me of a humble observation that we here in Oklahoma find inspiration in sports far more than do other places nationally. From our Dust Bowl conquering Sooners of the Wilkinson and preceding eras to the current Thunder mania ( of which I am a partner in crime)- We love those who inspire us, especially in the abstract realm of modern sports. A great article about an even better place.

After reading the entire article, though, I think Mr. Kiszla hit pretty close to the mark. The Thunder is more than just a sports team, they are a validation of sorts for the entire OKC community.
