Amazing. Despite losses and near losses to to the league’s cellar dwelling teams; the team captain, who leads the team by example was coasting.
I thought the team had played hard and lost primarily because of coach’s inane preference for small ball. But, I see, I also need to add coasting into the mix.
Small ball and coasting; a great recipe for losing to lesser teams.

The Thunder will never be a serious championship team until they learn to play defense against the dribble. Are we slow, lazy or just not committed. The other problem is that Westbrook just doesn’t make good decisions in crucial possesions. Ever since his selection as an all-star he seems to have decided he is the go to guy. Durant has been extremely soft and willing to let Westbrook take over.

I’m sorry, Scotty, but your idea to go small for much of the game – seemingly every game – was inexplicable. The Thunder’s runs came when you had two bigs on the floor. And if you are hellbent on playing KD at power forward, do it so you can have both Harden and Cook out there. Other than a couple plays against Phoenix, Thabo has been horrid these past two games.
