good on paper, but is Perk damaged goods. He just went down with a knee strain. wonder why boston so quick to ship him out. i dont think it was because they wouldnt be able to pay him like they’re saying. Nate will be a good backup.

WITH REGARDS TO CHANDLER. MY REFERENCE IS THAT PERKINS WILL PROBABLY NOT PASS THE PHYSICAL. THUNDER REJECTED CHANLER BECAUSE OF TOES, PERKINS IS A KNEE.

DO I THINK THUNDER SCREWED UP ON CHANDLER? H*** YES.

THINK THIS IS A KNEE-JERK (PUN INTENDED)REACTION TO HOW THAT NON-TRADE WORKED OUT FOR DALLS, THEIR CRUDDY PICKS ON MULLENS AND ALDRICH, AND GREEN’S CONTRACT EXPIRING.

THINK THEIR DRAFT PICKS HAVE HUMMED SINCE THEY LUCKED INTO DURANT.

STILL THINK CURRY WAS PICK OVER HARDEN AND WILL SAY SO AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN LIKE I DID BEFORE THE DRAFT AND EVER SINCE EVEN WITH MAYBERRY INSULTING ME.

By the way, i think i saw curry play defense against the thunder. i think i saw him take a charge at a critical point of the game. and i think i saw him stay in and the “man” harden go sit on the bench. right or wrong? and i know what the stat line for the game was.

hey joe harvey. did you read Doc’s comments to the national media? “We think we did pretty well, ” Rivers said. “Red (Auerbach) would always say: “”Whatever the single best player is in the trade, try to get it.”" WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT WHAT BOSTON THINKS ABOUT PERKINS V. GREEN?? And remember, perkins also missed last years finals vs. lakers. why??? INJURED AGAIN. So if you are going to trade 2 starters for a player, why not get one that can at least walk? And you don’t think NENE would have been a better trade? YOU ARE AN IDIOT.

all the pundents pretty much agree that Okc got the better deal in this one. a legitimate threat now to the lakers and spurs. so who got us (Thunder) to this point? all you guys that think this was a bad move, please tell Sam Presti how much smarter you are than him about bb, and you can do a hell of alot better job.

I’m hoping what will happen out of this deal is that Nate Robinson reaches his potential which is considerable. I’m flabbergasted at why anybody thinks Perkins is going to help as he’s pitiful on offense and we already have a guy like that (Sefolosha). The Thunder needs low post scoring. Perkins is a career 6 pt./game scorer and has zero offensive ability. Green was a big reason for OKC’s success and a huge part of their offense and will be missed. Harden is going to have to step up big time. If they were going to trade somebody I would much rather have seen them get rid of Harden as his play has been erratic and he’s a terrible shooter.

i think both teams win in this trade. the celts needed another good wing player who could come of the bench, especially after the marquis daniels injury. plus with kristic they still have one the deepest bench at the pf-c position. lil nate is instand offense, the thunder couldnt do no wrong with aquiring him. perkins, a lil rusty right now but if he stays healthy hes another solid contributor off the bench

Sour grapes from some of the Celtic fans. I watch a LOT of basketball, and I can tell you that we as Thunder fans should be quite happy. I am giddy. I was on Presti all year, and my boy stepped up. This improves two spots in one move. You now have terrific frontline BIGS in Ibaka/Perkins. (pinch me, am I dreaming?) The only thing left to do that won’t happen is to move Thabo to the bench and start Harden right away. (Brooks appears to have a mancrush on Thabo for some reason)

The Celts got Green for what he does best: be the sixth man leading the second unit at small forward. He was so overmatched as a starting power forward, but his athleticism shines against opponent’s No. 2s.

And he is a super guy and teammate. I’ve been as critical as anyone of Jeff at the four, but he’s a high class guy all the way.

As a die-hard Celtics fan from Boston who happily resides in LA I tried to do a little digging on what you guys thought of Green. I have to commend OKC on snagging a truly legitimate big man who loves to do the dirty work and plays with passion and unrelenting intensity; he’ll never put up monster offensive numbers but he will get you double doubles frequently and opposing offenses will feel his presence. Perk is fantastic, maybe not an All-Star but he can effectively neutralize stud centers . . . I hope Green continues to develop and is the wing player for both the present and future of the C’s.
