I just remember something I saw on NBA TV on “The Beat” from I think saturday. Brent Barry a “JUDGE” saw the practice of the dunks from the Staples Center practice session so if thats true then everything was already setup. No way was this fair. I say check the tape. If I can find it I will post a like for all to see. SERGE THE PEOPLE’S DUNK CHAMP.

Serge was robbed. Blakes second dunk was a so so dunk nothing great about. Plus Serge completed his two dunks in less attempts. Every promo and everything said had Blakes name, so what did everybody expect, keep the car parked for next year. Blake won like Bieber won the Celeb MVP. They need to change the rule on scoring after 20,000 attempts at a dunk and force these guys to show some perfection. If you already know what the dunk is by the 2nd, 3rd, 10th attempt then like in every other event “judged” deduct for failed attempts.

kobe was and always will be a ball hog, trying to make some kind of point, and not only an all star game, but in games that really count.

Totally agree on Ibaka getting robbed Darnell! The slam dunk competition has gone the way of professional wrestling. It’s all for show and predetermined.
On the point of Kobe being the MVP… yes, he deserved it. Yes he was the best player last night. BUT we don’t care for Kobe much around here until he puts on Thunder blue and then some of us still won’t care for him. So it’s hard to make yourself admit that he deserved the MVP when it’s someone you don’t care for.

For decades, the most iconic dunk in NBA history was Dr. J’s dunk from the free throw line in 1976. A decade later, Michael Jordan equalled that feat – and was thus crowned King alongside Irving. Saturday night Serge Ibaka BESTED that iconic moment and was given little credit – with Dr. J himself joining in on the ho hum. I wonder what people would be talking about today had Kobe or Lebron done that dunk instead of a Thunder bench player from the Congo.
Serge was indeed robbed!
