To Chris - if by "punk", you mean "great basketball player - especially on defense" - then you mean Tony Allen.

Unless you know the guy, you're just showing some poor sportsmanship. You should be hoping that the Thunder would be smart enough to sign him next time. (They could have - but didn't - and now have a loss to show for it).

Tony can shut down Kobe, Kevin Durant, Dwayne Wade, etc - based upon Eddie Sutton's great coaching - so the Thunder definitely needs him.

you should probably keep your petty statements to yourself.---pretty immature.

The theme continues. We see flashes of this and that, defensively speaking. As good as the team is playing the key is the defense. I am not going to name names or call out coaches. It's a team problem. With the trade deadline appoaching on almost 2 weeks to go. Could this team need a wake up call trade to shake things up, to step it up or make room for someone that will? And on another note for fun, do you think that a team or the thunder should get involved with this Carmelo trade in some form? Not to aquire him but to assure he goes to a team not in the west that could be a possible Thunder playoff opponent like LA or a team in the East to prevent him to going to an Eastern team like a NY that could be thier opponent.

[...] Darnell Mayberry on last night’s game: “A few people asked me after the game (and some during when the outcome looked in doubt) whether this could be classified as a bad loss. I say yes. But only on the surface. The Grizzlies were shorthanded. They were on the second night of a back-to-back. And, quite frankly, they’re mediocre. The Thunder, meanwhile, had its full complement of players, had not laced them up since Saturday and is a top four team in the West. For all those reasons, this was a bad loss. But the Grizzlies played terrific basketball in the second half and earned this win. It’s not like the Thunder lost to a team going through the motions.” Share: [...]

@DM
I think you hit the crux of the issue with Jeff Green. Why Brooks continues to give him big minutes just baffles me. Harden was having a fairly decent game and was at least show some desire to get to the basket. Pulling him to go with a four forward lineup was idiotic.

Of the starting five, Nenad was the only one who came looking like he was ready to play. He battled for rebounds, played solid defense and turned an ugly possession or two into points with his midrange jumper.

As far as the officiating, I'm one who thinks that even in poorly officiated games, a team shouldn't place themselves in a position to let the calls determine the outcome. That was true last night too. However, the Grizz could grab, push and shove all they wanted with relative impunity. KD wore Tony Allen like a cheap suit. On the other end of the floor, the Thunder were getting called for touch fouls, particularly Collison. But again, you can't lay this off on the refs.
